Pure was a space for all kinds of art, whether it was 2-D, 3-D or based in time such as performance, cinema or music. Pure was a series of spaces which are the epitome of the southwest.

Housed in an historic adobe on one of Taos’ oldest and prettiest streets, the space used to be part of the studio complex and home of one of Taos’ founding artists, Emil Bistram. The space is infused with his spirit, on entering the gallery the visitor is struck by the natural light and a feeling of peace. Pure is comfortable, simple and unpretentious. But its simplicty also makes room for the sophisticated. Space for contemplation. Conversation. Creative and critical discourse.
